Unibase (UB) is a decentralized AI memory layer for autonomous agents. This article explains what it is, how Membase and AIP work, UB tokenomics.
Unibase (UB) is a high-performance decentralized AI memory layer that gives autonomous AI agents persistent long-term memory and cross-platform interoperability. It solves a core issue in current AI systems: agents forget previous interactions and operate in isolated silos. Instead, Unibase lets agents remember conversations, knowledge bases, and on-chain tasks across sessions and platforms while keeping data under user control.
Unibase builds the foundation for an open agent internet. This is a network where AI agents can learn, collaborate, and evolve without central control.
The project runs as a modular stack on Ethereum, BNB Chain, and compatible OP stack rollups. Its mainnet launched on BNB Chain in late 2025, with the UB token going live on Ethereum and BNB Chain in September 2025. Circulating supply stands at 2.5 billion out of a 10 billion maximum supply.
Unibase uses three integrated modules to handle memory, communication, and data access.Membase serves as the core memory layer. It stores structured data such as prompts and vectors as well as unstructured data like conversation history.
All entries receive ZK-SNARK verification. These zero-knowledge succinct non-interactive arguments of knowledge proofs confirm data integrity without revealing the underlying information. Agents read and write with low latency and high throughput.
The AIP Protocol handles agent interoperability. It follows the ERC-8004 standard for on-chain identity and uses x402 for autonomous payments.
Agents gain verifiable identities, set permissions, and coordinate tasks through standardized messages. This setup supports multi-agent workflows without gatekeepers.
Unibase DA provides the data availability layer. It delivers real-time access to AI workloads with zk-verified integrity and throughput above 100 GB per second in tests.
Together these parts turn stateless agents into self-evolving systems that retain knowledge and settle payments on chain.
The UB token powers the network through usage and incentives. Holders pay protocol fees for memory storage, reads, writes, ZK proofs, and cross-agent messages. They lock tokens as veUB for governance votes on reward allocation and upgrades.
Agents stake UB to activate and gain visibility in the marketplace. Users earn UB rewards by contributing knowledge through mining.Unibase follows a ve(3,3) model that aligns long-term holding with active network use.
Token allocation includes 35% to the community, 20% to treasury, 18% to team and advisors, and 10% each to ecosystem and marketing. Most portions vest over months after a six-month cliff where applicable.
On May 13, 2026, Unibase launched its ERC-8183 Agent Service Market. The market lets agents publish structured job offers that include pricing, capabilities, schemas, and service-level agreements. It adds trustless escrow and supports multi-agent coordination.
Trading data showed UB price moving from a prior range near 0.02 to 0.06 dollars into the $0.15 to $0.22 dollar range, with market capitalization reaching roughly $380 million to $560 million depending on daily closes.
Unibase delivers verifiable long-term memory, standardized interoperability, and autonomous payments through its Membase, AIP, and DA modules. The UB token handles fees, governance, staking, and incentives in a fixed 10 billion supply structure.
